PolyU places great emphasis on fostering students’ diverse talents, with a key focus on promoting art and culture. To achieve these goals, PolyU has established the Art and Culture Development Fund (the Fund), which aims to enrich the art and culture ambience and enhance talent diversity at PolyU and in the community.
The Fund will support students to burnish their creativity by providing real-world experience in the professional art world and beyond. Through their participation in a variety of activities, including talks, workshops, collaborative projects with partners and more, students will be able to develop their flair while preparing to meet the increasing demands of a multisensory and multicultural world.
We invite partners who share our values to make a contribution towards the Fund which will be used to support and advance a range of programmes and initiatives including:
- Artist-in-Residence Programme where artists from different genres of art are invited to engage with the university community
- Annual Talent Show and other activities organised by STARS Residential College under the Special Talent Admission Recognition Scheme (STARS), a newly established admission scheme for students with special talents
- International exchange programme
- Education in Chinese history and culture to enhance students’ understanding of their country and their sense of national identity
- A great variety of art and cultural events and programmes, including performing arts, visual arts, literary arts, cultural heritage, and film and media arts, etc.
The Fund will be managed by a committee chaired by PolyU's Central Management. Donors can contribute through a one-time payment or a monthly donation scheme. Please join us in supporting students to unleash their potential and broaden their horizons.
