A showcase of innovations and research achievements at technology expo
A display of PolyU’s research achievements was staged at the Hong Kong Tech Showcase@IDT Expo. Among the innovations, the sophisticated mannequin i.Dummy has recently scooped a Grand Award and a Silver Award at the Design for Asia Awards 2014 (Product and Industrial Design Category).
Achievements
Honours were bestowed on Prof. Albert Chan and Dr Patrick Lam Tsun-ip at the Department of Building and Real Estate for their commendable research on construction project management.

In view of the uneven development of Hong Kong during urbanism, Mr Laurent Gutierrez and Dr Valérie Portefaix at the School of Design proposed the creative idea of constructing artificial islands.
