Welcome to the official website of the Community of Practice on leveraging the Learning Management System (LMS) to enhance Teaching and Learning. Though not the only technological component used, nevertheless the LMS is the principal software application that supports the operational and tactical needs for teaching and learning among students and teachers. For example, the authoring, staging, publishing, and refreshing of learning content and course information, among other functions, are supported by the LMS, as well as the collection, tracking and dissemination of feedback and marks to students. This community is focussed on how to best leverage the available features and functions of the LMS (codenamed “Learn@PolyU”) to enhance all aspects of our Teaching and Learning activities.
Better leverage of the LMS may come in the form of process automation, collaboration and knowledge transfer among students and teachers, application of collective wisdom to combat information overload and to enhance information awareness, and more.
