理大早前與華潤慈善基金有限公司(華潤慈善基金)簽署獎學金捐贈協議, 設立「華潤香港公司治理專業專項獎學金」,並於2023/24至2027/28學年共五個學年設立多個獎學金,以表彰於理大「公司管治碩士」課程的優異學生,鼓勵他們發展企業治理和公司秘書的事業。
華潤集團於8月22日舉行獎學金捐贈簽署儀式,由華潤集團董事長王祥明先生、中聯絡辦教育科技部一級巡視員劉懋洲先生、香港特別行政區政府民政及青年事務局常任秘書長林雪麗女士、財經事務及庫務局副局長陳浩濂先生,以及華潤集團副總經理藍屹先生共同主禮。
在主禮嘉賓見證下,理大行政及拓展副校長盧麗華博士與華潤慈善基金董事宋貴斌先生簽署捐贈協議,其他出席的理大代表包括協理副校長(大學發展)及拓展事務總監羅璇博士、工商管理學院院長鄭大昭教授、會計及金融學院主任蘇黎新敎授,以及公司管治碩士課程總監利家樂博士。
是項獎學金計劃由華潤集團牽頭 ,並由華潤現代服務公司、華潤慈善基金及香港公司治理公會共同發起 ,惠及理大和本地另外三間大學的公司治理碩士課程的學生。
PolyU recently signed a donation agreement with China Resources Charitable Fund Limited (CRCF) to establish the “China Resources Corporate Governance Scholarship”, which will offer scholarships in each of the five academic years from 2023/24 to 2027/28. The scholarships recognise outstanding postgraduate students who have excelled in the PolyU Master of Corporate Governance and encourage them to pursue a career in corporate governance and company secretarial roles.
The signing ceremony was held on 22 August and officiated by Mr Wang Xiangming, Chairman of China Resources Group; Mr Liu Maozhou, First-Level Inspector of the Department of Educational, Scientific and Technological Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR; Ms Shirley Lam Shuet-lai, Permanent Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs of the HKSAR Government; Mr Joseph Chan Ho-lim, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of the HKSAR Government; and Mr Lan Yi, Vice General Manager of the China Resources Group .
Dr Miranda Lou, the Executive Vice President of PolyU, and Mr Song Guibin, the Director of CRCF, signed the donation agreement, with the officiating guests witnessing the event. Other PolyU representatives at the ceremony included Dr Laura Lo, Associate Vice President (Institutional Advancement) and Director of Institutional Advancement; Ir Prof. T.C. Edwin Cheng, Dean of the Faculty of Business; Prof. Nancy Su, Head of the School of Accounting and Finance; and Dr Bruce Li, Programme Director of the Master of Corporate Governance programme.
The Scholarship arrangement was driven by China Resources Group and jointly initiated by China Resources Corporate Service Limited, CRCF and The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute. Its aim is to benefit postgraduate students in corporate governance at PolyU and three other local universities.
