The Former Staff Homecoming on 27 February 2025 was a remarkable celebration that brought together dedicated former staff members of PolyU to reconnect and honour their shared experiences. Participants enjoyed engaging guided tours of the University Gallery and Pao Yue-kong Library, as well as leisurely strolls around campus, immersing themselves in the University’s rich history and new developments.
A highlight of the day was the lively tea gathering at the Alumni Atrium, where attendees shared stories, exchanged views, and rekindled friendships. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie that highlighted their close bond with PolyU. Following the gathering, nine former staff members went on to join the Alumni Reunion Dinner at PolyU Student Halls of Residence, further celebrating their journey with the PolyU community.
The event also marked the official launch of the Former Staff Network. Co-founders in attendance included Professor Cheong-ki Chan, Dr Carmen Fu, Mrs Helen Ku-Yu, Mr Daniel Suen, and Dr Frank Xu, who shared their vision of fostering long-term connections among former staff. Another co-founder, Dr Daniel Lee, was also acknowledged for his contributions despite his absence.
As a new chapter begins and exciting opportunities await, we look forward to strengthening bonds and creating wonderful memories together in the Network. Let us continue to celebrate the enduring legacy and strong ties that have shaped the PolyU journeys.
