Dr LI Ruichao
Professor, The College of Veterinary Medicine (Institute of Comparative Medicine), Yangzhou University
After Dr Li Ruichao received his PhD degree from PolyU in 2017, he joined the Institute of Comparative Medicine, under the College of Veterinary Medicine at Yangzhou University. As a distinguished professor in the Youth One Hundred programme of the University, he conducts research in antimicrobial resistance (AMR), application of novel genome sequencing technologies (such as Oxford Nanopore technologies), molecular mechanisms of resistance, medical device reporting plasmids, and microbial genomics. In charge of eight research projects covering nanopore sequencing application and AMR research, Dr Li has published more than 70 papers in leading international journals, such as mSystems, GigaScience, The Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy and Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy. One of his papers was listed as an ESI Hot and Highly Cited Paper. A peer reviewer for prestigious journals like Engineering, The Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, and Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, Dr Li is also a guest editor for Frontiers in Microbiology and Genes.
