Mr Chapman Lee is Director of Imsight Technology Company Limited, a firm specialising in AI deep learning technology for cancer diagnosis in medical imaging. The company, which is based in Hong Kong Science Park, achieved a valuation of US$50 million in 2022, and has branches in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Chengdu, and Guiyang. It has long-term research collaborations with local medical universities and with over 50 hospitals in Mainland China. Mr Lee led a team that secured four Hong Kong Information and Communications Technology Awards in the Smart Healthcare category in 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2023. Mr Lee applies big data analytics to medical imaging, aiming to deliver AI-driven solutions to address key pain points in medical services in several specialised areas of healthcare, including dentistry, pathology, ophthalmology, and radiology. Through determined and innovative leadership, he has pioneered the region's first AI cancer screening service, specifically targeting lung cancer—the most prevalent cancer in Hong Kong. His visionary approach underscores the potential for collaborative sharing of sensitive medical data between private companies and public hospitals. This initiative has been recognised and supported by funds from the Government through public sector trial schemes in 2021 and again in 2024. These achievements highlight Mr Lee’s crucial role in advancing AI technologies to enhance public healthcare services.
