Ir Alfred Sit Wing-hang cemented Hong Kong’s status as one of the key I&T hubs in the region by building a vibrant innovation ecosystem in his capacity as a principal official of the Government. During his two years in office, he oversaw the establishment of two InnoHK research clusters, flagship I&T projects, focusing on healthcare technologies, artificial intelligence and robotics technologies. He has also promoted Hong Kong’s participation in developing the Greater Bay Area (GBA) into an international I&T centre by leveraging the synergies between Hong Kong’s strength in research and development, as well as the strong advanced manufacturing capabilities in neighbouring cities in the GBA.
