Sr Augustine Wong Ho-ming is a veteran real estate developer in Hong Kong. Under his guidance, Henderson Land has become a significant player in urban renewal, acquiring more than 3,000 residential units in obsolete buildings for redevelopment over the past decade. He has also worked with the government and NGOs to use residential units that are pending redevelopment as affordable temporary accommodation for people in need. Alongside his career achievements, Sr Wong has made a significant contribution to formulating the regulatory framework for local real estate agents. Apart from being a Member of the working group of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors that commented on the draft Estate Agents Bill, he was also appointed as the first Chairman of the Practicing Committee to promulgate subsidiary regulations governing the sector’s daily operations.
