Dr Daphne Cheung spearheaded a project team dedicated to the development of the “Music-with-Movement System for Older Adults”. By empowering caregivers and staff working in the elderly care sector, this innovative system effectively engages older adults through music intervention. The ground-breaking work of Dr Cheung and her team in social technology innovation recently received a prestigious recognition. They were honoured with a Global Consumer Product award in the Accessibility & Aging Tech category at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 Innovation Awards. This esteemed award is an integral part of the CES, an annual event that celebrates exceptional innovation in design. Products are evaluated based on engineering quality, aesthetics and design, practical value, uniqueness and their impact on quality of life.
