Mr Kade Chan Pak-hei, one of the Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Young Persons in 2020, is an award-winning origami artist. A self-taught talent, he created his first origami model Fiery Dragon as early as the age of 14, and the diagram was published in Origami Worldwide soon afterwards. He further unleashed his potential in university days, during which he earned the 2012 Éric Joisel Award from Origami Canada. In 2013, he became the first Chinese to receive the Yoshino Issei Fund – the most prestigious award in the origami community conferred by Japan Origami Academic Society. With more than 300 original origami designs to date, Mr Chan has been frequently invited to attend international conventions, and has collaborated with different luxury brands like Ferragamo, Lamborghini and Bottega Veneta.
