Mr Lai Chun-yip embarked on his career as a registered social worker and later went on to establish the social enterprise Anewtoys in 2022. His primary objective was to transform societal values and reduce the labelling of different social classes. Anewtoys’ products and services embody a unique blend of ecological consciousness, social care, and creativity. By collecting second-hand toys and other eco-friendly materials, Mr Lai promotes sharing of joy among children and imparts valuable skills to them. In recognition of his visionary approach, Mr Lai was awarded the Green Award at the Hong Kong Smart Design Awards, standing as a testament to his commitment to sustainable practices and positive impact Anewtoys has had on the environment and society.
