Following the earlier visit by the 1983 graduates in Accountancy, another group of alumni who studied Translation and graduated in the same year returned to PolyU for a memorable reunion on 20 December.
The Alumni Affairs Office (AAO) extended a warm welcome to the group at the Alumni Atrium, presenting them with special souvenirs to commemorate the occasion. Reuniting after a long time, the alumni joyfully shared stories and reminisced about their time at the University. They were also thrilled to hear about the latest developments and updates at their alma mater.
Eager to relive their cherished memories, the group embarked on a guided campus tour. They took many photos at the University Square and seized the opportunity to visit the Pao Yue-kong Library. On the Library’s new sixth floor, the campus scenery and the panoramic view of the Victoria Harbour captivated everyone. With each step, the group rediscovered the familiar buildings, classrooms, and iconic spots that shaped their university experience.
The heartwarming reunion concluded with a delightful dinner at a campus restaurant. Everyone eagerly discussed plans for their upcoming 50th Graduation Anniversary celebrations. Laughter filled the air as they shared anecdotes from their time as students, strengthening the bonds forged across four decades.
