1月23日上午,2021年数学界迎新春茶话会首次在线上召开。这是由中国数学会、中国工业与应用数学学
会、数学天元基金领导小组共同举办的第16次新春茶话会。数学界部分中国科学院院士、国家自然科学基
金委员会数学物理科学部领导、两个学会的常务理事、部分高校领导及特邀嘉宾等140余人出席了茶话会。
学会秘书长闫桂英研究员与中国数学会秘书长巩馥洲研究员共同主持会议,他们首先代表学会秘书处向与会
领导、嘉宾致以新春问候。
中国数学会理事长田刚院士首先讲话。他总结了中国数学会2020年各项工作的开展情况及取得的成绩,介
绍了中国数学会过去一年审议并通过的各项决议、正在开展和即将开展的各项工作。田刚院士感谢大家对于
中国数学会的关心和支持,衷心希望大家多多参与到中国数学会的工作当中并提出宝贵意见和建议,最后他
向大家致以新春问候。
中国工业与应用数学学会理事长张平文院士在讲话中首先介绍了这几年国家科技创新的形势,指出数学作为
自然科学和重大技术创新发展的基础,迎来了历史的机遇。他从党的建设、治理体系、学术交流、期刊建设
等各方面总结了学会2020年的工作成绩:党建工作扎实推进、组织建设日趋完善、学术交流精彩纷呈、期
刊出版开局良好、科普宣传成效卓著、竞赛奖励蒸蒸日上、会员发展稳步前进、优秀人才不断涌现、企业合
作逐步开展,学会工作呈现喜人局面。2021年,学会将重点做好以下几个方面的工作:一是聚焦长远,积
极参与国家层面的应用数学发展大计,进一步做好战略型布局;二是继续办好“数学促进企业创新发展论坛”,
进一步促进数学与企业的对接融通;三是加强组织体系建设,为学会的良好健康发展保驾护航;四是办好学
会会刊。学会还将在科技部的“揭榜挂帅”项目上发挥重要作用,积极为数学家与产业界牵线搭桥。最后,张
平文院士代表中国工业与应用数学学会向大家拜年,向长期以来支持学会工作的领导和专家表示衷心的感谢。
数学天元基金学术领导小组组长、中国科协副主席、国际工业与应用数学联合会主席袁亚湘院士在讲话中重
点介绍了数学天元基金2020年工作开展情况及取得的成绩:一是天元基金拿出1000万元设立数学与医疗健
康交叉重点专项;二是天元数学学术交流中心即将在昆明破土动工,希望能建成类似于德国黑森林奥博沃尔
法赫(Oberwolfach)数学研究所的国际化数学交流中心;三是天元基金关于数学科普工作做了重大调整;
四是介绍了天元数学访问学者项目,呼吁各位专家关注所在省市数学相对欠发达地区优秀年轻人的成长;五
是天元基金会继续支持“讲习班”、“研讨班”,但重点会逐渐聚焦到五个天元数学中心以及将要动工的昆明
学术交流中心所组织的学术交流活动上。随后,他简单介绍了科技部2021年数学和应用专项的相关情况,
还指出了中国工业与应用数学学会在国际组织上发挥的作用。最后,袁亚湘院士代表天元基金学术领导小组
感谢大家对于天元基金的关心和支持,并向数学界的同仁们致以诚挚的新春祝福。
国家自然科学基金委员会数理学部主任江松院士在讲话中强调数学迎来了很好的发展机会,相信我们数学界
定能抓住机会,不负使命,将我国建成数学强国、科技强国,在征程中做出重要的贡献。他向长期以来支持
数理学部工作的广大专家、学者表示衷心的感谢,今后基金委数理学部将依然全力以赴地支持我国数学的发
展。
中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院院长席南华院士在讲话中表示数学会在我国发展中起着越来越重要的作用,
中科院数学与系统科学研究院作为数学会的挂靠单位,将一如既往地为数学会提供最优质的服务,数学与系
统科学研究院将和国内同行、其他单位一起努力,将我国的数学推到更高的水平,感谢各位前辈、各位同仁
对数学院的支持。
清华大学数学科学系主任邹文明教授在讲话中谈到,作为中国工业与应用数学学会挂靠单位,希望与各位同
仁紧密合作,实现共同发展。
中国数学会原理事长张恭庆院士、马志明院士、文兰院士,国家自然科学基金委员会科学处何成处长、崔俊
芝院士、陈恕行院士、龙以明院士、励建书院士、汤涛院士、王小云院士、张继平院士、叶向东院士,国内
各大院校、科研机构的与会代表先后发表了对我国数学学科建设、人才培养、科学普及等方面的意见和建议,
表达了对数学界同仁的新春祝福。
在这其乐融融、团结祥和的气氛中,众位专家热情高涨,共同探讨数学的发展之路。最后大家在线挥手致意,
2021年迎新春茶话会在欢声笑语中圆满结束。

广东省工业与应用数学学会2020年学术年会暨大学生数学建模竞赛颁奖大会顺利召开

2021年1月15日-17日,广东省工业与应用数学学会(以下简称“学会”)2020年学术年会暨大学生数学建
模竞赛颁奖大会于广东顺德顺利召开。在充分做好新冠疫情防控的前提下,百名专家学者及学生齐聚一堂,
深入探讨学科前沿问题,共谋学会发展盛事。
年会开幕式由学会常务副理事长、党支部书记王其如教授主持。中国工业与应用数学学会常务理事、学会理
事长冯国灿教授,广东省数学会理事长、粤港澳应用数学中心理事长姚正安教授,佛山科学技术学院院长郝
志峰教授,万联证券张均炜副总经理分别致辞。大会特别邀请了省学会名誉理事长、中山大学戴道清教授和
华南理工大学郑驻军教授分别就“生物数据分析的机器学习方法”和“量子信息简介”进行报告,与参会者们
分享科技前沿进展。
在大会颁奖环节,学会副秘书长关彦辉老师总结了2020年度大学生数学建模竞赛的广东赛区情况并宣读获
奖名单。广东赛区共获得本科组全国一等奖12项,二等奖85项;高职高专组全国一等奖9项,二等奖8项。
随后,大会还为“泰迪杯”数据分析职业技能大赛、首届“大湾区杯”粤港澳金融数学建模竞赛的获奖者颁发
了证书和奖金。
为了充分加强学术与工业界之间的深入交流,本次年会邀请了多名来自华南师范大学、暨南大学、深圳大学、
安信证券、广东省电信规划设计院、广东省泰迪智能科技股份有限公司等多家单位的代表做专题演讲。
年会还专门设立了研究生论坛,十余位来自省内多所高校的优秀博士生分享了自身的课题研究成果。中山大
学博士生罗又维及华南理工大学博士生刘亚茹获得论坛报告一等奖。论坛还评选出了二等奖、三等奖多名。
学会于15日晚上召开了常务理事会。冯国灿理事长和王其如常务副理事长出席会议并对学会在过去一年中仍
稳步扎实推进各项学术和党组织建设活动给予了充分肯定,还提出要不断优化建模赛事体验、多样化活动形
式等要求。针对学会会员发展、科学普及及进一步加强与工业界的联系等问题,常务理事们进行了积极而热
烈的讨论,为努力提高服务国家战略需求和地方经济发展积极献言献策。
此次学术年会在抗疫防疫形势较为严峻和数学基础学科得到高度重视的双重背景下顺利召开,对有力推进学
会与学科的持续蓬勃发展,以及进一步加强学术与工业界的紧密联系都具有重大意义。

academia and industry, students of mathematical sciences, as well as
those with an interest in the subject. It will feature plenary talks
from distinguished speakers covering a wide range of subjects, as well
as a networking activities. This is a perfect opportunity to learn
about fascinating areas of mathematics and its applications from
people that work on them, whilst also providing you the chance to
become more involved with a professional body of mathematics. The
networking event will allow you the opportunity to meet people with
similar interests and find out more about the wide range of careers
that are available.

The Early Career Mathematicians' (ECM) Branch is designed for those
with a maths degree who are within the first 15 years of graduating,
or, those without a degree who are within the first 15 years of
membership. The ECM group has been set up to engage and empower ECM,
and students of mathematics at university, to provide them with
support and an opportunity to network.
