《北京数学杂志(英文)》(Peking Mathematical Journal)是由教育部主管、北京大学主办的英文数
学期刊,于2018年9月正式创刊。期刊由北京国际数学研究中心和北京大学数学科学学院联合承办,
主要刊登基础数学方面具有突出思想方法的高水平原创研究成果,旨在促进国内外学术交流,推动
数学学科发展。
《北京数学杂志(英文)》由安金鹏、郭岩、刘若川、刘小博、田刚和许晨阳担任联合主编,由Noga Alon,
Pierre Colmez,Hélène Esnault,Christopher Hacon,Alexandru Ionescu,Svetlana Jitomirskaya,Nader Masmoudi,
Aaron Naber,Kaoru Ono,Rahul Pandharipande和张伟担任副主编。
《北京数学杂志(英文)》创刊三周年以来,获得了学术界的广泛关注与支持,已出版4卷10期,
另有多篇文章在线出版。多位著名数学家(包括菲尔兹奖获得者Michael Freedman,国际数学家大会
一小时报告人、美国科学院院士János Kollár,国际数学家大会一小时报告人Rahul Pandharipande,美
国科学院院士、科学突破奖获得者Christopher Hacon等)的论文已在期刊正式发表。目前期刊已被

11月13-14日,“2021中韩离散数学、统计与优化青年学者论坛”在南开大学范孙楼召开。本次论坛由
中国科协资助,天津市科协与天津市工业与应用数学学会联合举办,论坛采用线上与线下相结合的
方式,包含开幕式、大会报告和邀请报告等环节。
国家百千万人才工程、国家杰出青年科学基金获得者、教育部“长江学者”特聘教授、云南大学唐年
胜教授,中国科学院大学数学科学学院执行院长郭田徳教授,北京交通大学冯衍全教授等专家学者
出席论坛并作大会报告。天津市科学技术学会学术部刘元刚部长,中国工业与应用数学学会副理事
长、天津市工业与应用数学学会理事长、南开大学统计与数据科学学院执行院长王兆军教授,韩国
纽约州立大学Suil O博士等来自中韩双方的离散数学、统计与优化领域的专家学者和学生共130余人
参会。
开幕式上,论坛组织委员会主席、天津市科学技术学会学术部刘元刚部长,论坛程序委员会主席、
中国工业与应用数学学会副理事长、天津市工业与应用数学学会理事长王兆军教授先后致欢迎辞。
他们在欢迎辞中对来自中韩两国的与会专家学者表示热烈欢迎,希望中韩双方学者以此次论坛为契
机,加深合作与交流。论坛韩方主席、韩国纽约州立大学Suil O博士在致辞中,感谢了刘元刚部长、
王兆军教授、天津市科协和天津市工业与应用数学学会为此次论坛的召开所付出的努力,并回顾了
自2016年至今与中国学者的合作交流。
11月13日,唐年胜教授、郭田德教授、冯衍全教授分别作了题为《Quantile correlation-based variable selection》、
《Machine learning method for combinatorial optimization》、《Some topics in group and graph》的大会报告;
随后,按照“统计”、“优化”、“图论组合”3个主题开展线上分组交流研讨,16位中方青年学者作邀请
报告。11月14日,另有5位韩方专家作大会报告,6位韩方青年学者作邀请报告。与会人员讨论热烈,
交流充分。
此次会议通过邀请中韩高水平青年专家学者作学术报告,为与会专家和学生提供了学术交流的机会,
本次中韩离散数学、统计与优化青年学者论坛的成功举办也将进一步推动中韩两国青年学者在离散
数学、统计与优化领域,乃至整个数学与应用数学领域的交流与合作。

The Copper Mountain Conference on Iterative Methods was founded in 1990 and is held every
two years (even years). It is widely regarded as one of the premier international conferences on
iterative methods. The 2022 meeting will be a virtual one with details to follow soon. The main
purpose of this initial announcement is to bring attention to the student paper competition
(a tradition at the meeting with a cash award) and some important deadlines.
