12月10日至11日,中国工业与应用数学学会(CSIAM)图论组合及应用专业委员会2022学术年会
在山东理工大学举行。年会由中国工业与应用数学学会主办,CSIAM图论组合及应用专委会和山
东理工大学承办,中国运筹学会图论组合分会协办,300余名相关领域专家、学者和研究生线上参
加会议。
根据2022年12月28日武汉大学官网消息,日前,中央批准:张平文同志任武汉大学校长(副部长
级)、党委副书记。12月28日,武汉大学召开教师干部视频会议。中央组织部副部长、中央编办主
任李小新同志到会宣布中央决定并讲话,教育部党组成员、副部长翁铁慧同志,湖北省委副书记李
荣灿同志出席会议并讲话。武汉大学党委书记韩进同志主持会议。

张平文,男,汉族,1966年7月出生,研究生学历,理学博士,中共党员,教授,中国科学院院士、
发展中国家科学院院士,现任武汉大学校长、党委副书记。
2015年当选为中国科学院数学物理学部院士,2016年当选为发展中国家科学院院士,2020年当选
为美国工业与应用数学学会会士,国家自然科学基金创新研究群体项目学术带头人(2014年)及
“科学计算与机器学习”基础科学中心项目负责人(2022年)。2018年至今担任大数据分析与应用
技术国家工程实验室主任。
2021年获何梁何利基金科学与技术进步奖,2014年获国家自然科学奖二等奖,2007年获教育部高
校自然科学奖一等奖,并曾获冯康科学计算奖等奖励。2011年受邀在第七届国际工业与应用数学大
会上作一小时报告,2014年受邀在美国工业与应用数学年会上作大会报告,2018年受邀在国际数
学家大会作45分钟邀请报告。担任学术期刊CSIAM Transactions on Applied Mathematics
主编,Applied Mathematics and Mechanics等十余种期刊编委,发表学术论文100余篇。
历任北京大学校长助理,副校长,党委常委、副校长等职务,2022年12月任武汉大学校长、党委
副书记。
社会兼职:中国工业与应用数学学会理事长;中国教育发展战略学会教育帮扶专委会理事长。

2022年12月26日,面向我国计算机和应用数学领域的王选杰出青年学者奖评选结果公布,张磊、
孙晓明和万小军、周涛分别获得2021年度和2022年度王选杰出青年学者奖。
此前,2021年度王选杰出青年学者奖已完成推荐、评选和公示等流程,受疫情等因素影响,现与
2022年度王选杰出青年学者奖一并予以公布。
2021年度王选杰出青年学者奖获得者为北京大学北京国际数学研究中心长聘副教授张磊、中国科学
院计算技术研究所研究员孙晓明。
张磊,北京大学北京国际数学研究中心长聘副教授,定量生物学中心、国际机器学习中心研究员。
研究方向为计算数学和数学与生物交叉领域,在科学计算以及在生物、材料中的应用方面得到一系
列原创性成果,特别在鞍点问题(多稳态)的计算方法上有独创性的发展,同时兼备重要的应用价
值,在国际学术界得到了广泛的正面评价。
获奖理由:鉴于张磊副教授在科学计算领域的鞍点问题计算方法上取得的独创性贡献,特颁发此奖。
孙晓明,中国科学院计算技术研究所研究员,主要研究领域为算法与计算复杂性、量子计算等。解
决了量子计算、通信复杂性、判定树复杂性和密码协议复杂性等领域几个重要的未解理论难题,在
国际上产生了广泛影响。
获奖理由:鉴于孙晓明研究员在解决量子算法复杂性和密码协议复杂性中的理论难题等方面的贡献,
特颁发此奖。
2022年度王选杰出青年学者奖获得者为中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院研究员周涛、北京大学王
选计算机研究所研究员万小军。
周涛,中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院研究员。主要研究方向为不确定性量化和偏微分方程数值
方法。在不确定性量化的随机配置方法、动态正交逼近方法、贝叶斯反问题替代模型算法等多个研
究领域取得突破性研究进展,研究课题兼具基础研究的创新性和国家应用需求。
获奖理由:鉴于周涛研究员在不确定性量化领域保证算法稳定性与提高计算效率方面的杰出贡献,
特颁发此奖。
万小军,北京大学王选计算机研究所研究员,主要研究方向为自然语言处理和人工智能。在自然语
言生成方向取得了国际一流的学术成果,并在新闻传媒行业验证了技术的先进性与有效性。所研制
的智能写作机器人为人工智能领域的技术进步和新闻传媒行业的技术变革做出了重要贡献,具有重
大应用价值。
获奖理由:鉴于万小军研究员在自然语言处理领域的文本自动摘要和自动生成方面的独创性贡献,
特颁发此奖。
奖项简介:
北京大学王选青年学者奖励基金由王选夫人陈堃銶教授于2008年12月代表北京大学王选计算机研
究所(原北京大学计算机科学技术研究所)捐赠基金设立。之后,王选所硕士研究生刘振飞校友连
续多年捐资注入本基金,是北大最早的针对青年学者所设的奖励基金。该基金下设“北京大学王选
青年学者奖”,多年来奖励了北大一批在教学岗位和科研工作中做出重要贡献并具有巨大发展潜力的
青年教师。
王选院士作为推动中国汉字和印刷技术迈入计算机时代的开拓者,是新时代知识分子的杰出代表和
自主创新精神的楷模,他的崇高品格与精神风范值得永远铭记。为更好地纪念王选院士,发扬他坚
持创新的科学精神和扶植新秀的高尚情怀,推动中国科技创新事业发展,扩大王选青年学者奖励基
金的影响力,2020年,北京大学王选青年学者奖励基金决定增设全国性科技奖项“王选杰出青年学
者奖”。该奖项实行推荐制,不受理个人(或单位)的申请或自荐。每年组织评选一次。候选者应满
足以下条件:热爱祖国,有良好的社会公德和高尚的职业道德;在科研工作中作出重要贡献并具有
巨大发展潜力,或者其科研成果得到重要应用或有重要应用前景;年龄在45岁以下的中国公民。每
年由北京大学、中国计算机学会和中国工业与应用数学学会联合评选出在计算机和应用数学领域中
自主创新和应用成果极为突出的杰出青年学者各1名,每人一次性奖励人民币50万元。
为开展好王选杰出青年学者奖的相关工作,确保该奖项的公正性、独立性和权威性,特设立王选杰
出青年学者奖管理委员会、学术委员会、提名委员会及秘书处,学术委员会和提名委员会由数学、
计算机理论与应用领域的著名专家担任,负责奖项的提名和评审工作,对候选人进行评议、表决后
上报管理委员会审定。如当年度无合适人选,名额可空缺。
2021年4月,首届王选杰出青年学者奖颁奖典礼在北京大学举行
今年是王选杰出青年学者奖第三年评选。2020年首届获奖者为北京大学数学科学学院杨超教授和清
华大学计算机科学与技术系唐杰教授,2021年4月在北京大学百周年纪念讲堂李莹厅举行了颁奖典
礼。2021年度和2022年度王选杰出青年学者奖颁奖典礼将择期举行。

【会议信息】The Second HKSIAM Biennial Conference 2023, Hong Kong SAR

It is our pleasure to announce that the second HKSIAM Biennial Conference
will take place during August 28 – September 1, 2023 at The Chinese
University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR. The Conference is joined organized
by HKSIAM and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The purpose of this
conference is to provide a forum for exchanging recent advances in the
field of industrial and applied mathematics. This conference is open to
all researchers in the field. In addition, PhD students and early career
researchers are especially welcome to join, and partial financial support
for local expenses may be provided to those who are not supported by any
research funding.
We invite proposals for minisymposia for the conference. A minisymposium
should consist of a multiple of 4 presentations (up to 12), and each
presentation is 25 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions. To propose a
minisymposium, please send a title, a short abstract and a list of
confirmed/tentative speakers to hksiam2023@math.cuhk.edu.hk. The
deadline of the submission is March 3, 2023, and the decision will
be announced on March 17, 2023.

The CSHPC Workshop focuses on numerical and symbolic methods,
simulations, algorithms and tools (software and hardware) for
developing and running scientific computations. High Performance
Computing (HPC), scalability and numerical precision are important in
view of the computational requirements and data, which are generally
large. Related topics may involve system architectures supporting the
applications: massively parallel systems, GPUs, hybrid systems and
distributed (cluster, grid/cloud) environments. Apart from traditional
algorithms, problem solving tools further include techniques using
neural networks, machine learning and genetic algorithms. Applications
(not necessarily utilizing HPC) will be considered from areas
including computational physics, computational mathematics and
statistics, quantum physics, fluid dynamics, molecular dynamics, and
materials science/nanotechnology.
