The
Symposium on E-Business: Promises and Limitations
The
Symposium on E-Business: Promises
and Limitations organised by FBIS held from 7
to 11 October brought together renowned scholars and business
leaders from around the world. The symposium provided a
forum for local, regional and overseas experts to exchange
views on the opportunities and limitations brought by electronic
business in the 21st century. Speakers included Prof. Hau
L. Lee from the Stanford University; Mr James N. Levitt
from the Harvard University; Dr Trevor Heaver from the University
of British Columbia; Mr Tony Wheeler, author of the Lonely
Planet guidebook; and Mr Alexander Huang, CEO of the Greater
China of the Microsoft China. Feedback from the audience
was very encouraging. This five-day symposium is one of
the core activities of PolyU's 65th anniversary celebrations.
