Summary
Nano Letters is the premier nanoscience communications journal for rapid publication of ground-breaking results. As the Editorial Board, we build an international community that looks to Nano Letters for current trends in nanoscience and establish fair and timely handling of forward-looking papers. In this talk, we will discuss how to navigate successfully publishing in and reviewing for Nano Letters and ACS family of scientific journals. Questions and feedback from the audience will be much encouraged.

Prof. Elena Besley, FRSC, obtained her PhD in Physics and Mathematics (2000) from St. Petersburg State University, Russia. In 2000 she held a Royal Society/NATO postdoctoral research fellowship at the Queen's University of Belfast. There followed postdoctoral research appointments in Chemistry at the Universities of Nottingham, Sussex and Cambridge. In 2007 Elena was awarded a Royal Society UK Relocation Fellowship and moved back to Nottingham. She was appointed to a Lecturer in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry at Nottingham in 2011, followed by promotion to an Associate Professor in 2014 and a Professor in 2015. To date, Elena has published a total of 160+ scientific papers, with an h-index of 41, and has served as Editor for the RSC monograph Computational Nanoscience. Elena has been a recipient of numerous academic fellowships and awards, including most recently a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Electrostatics Society of America. Since 2021, Elena has been an Associate Editor of the ACS journal Computational Nanoscience.
