E-memory Promenade
The launch of the E-memory Promenade took place on May 27, 2023, and it occupies two corridors of the HJ wing and a small part of the GH wing of the 4th floor in the Department of Applied Social Sciences (APSS) at the PolyU Campus. To access the photos and relive the memories, simply scan the QR code or tap the cards hung on the walls with your NFC-enabled mobile phone. The remaining part of the GH wing corridor will be reserved for new contributions from upcoming graduates.
The E-memory Promenade is not only accessible physically but also in a virtual environment. Alumni and all interested stakeholders can access it through this link (https://apss.live/). Once in the virtual environment, you can move along the corridors in a 360-degree manner, click and read to get a dynamic capture of the department's past and present.
In addition, the E-memory Promenade is a 360-degree production that can be presented in a 3D environment, such as our physical Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (CAVE) or when wearing Oculus lenses. Contact our CSD team to experience the immersive technology in this design and other pedagogy designs that the department has implemented since its inception in December 2022.
The E-memory Promenade is a sustainable project that relies on the support and contributions of current staff, students, retired staff, and alumni of APSS. We are making progress to enhance, enrich and develop this project in the years ahead. We appreciate the participation and engagement of our staff and alumni, which are crucial for the longevity and success of this initiative.
