The School of Fashion & Textiles (SFT) Fashion Design Studio is dedicated to creating an inspiring environment that nurtures creativity, fosters collaboration, and prepares students for the future of fashion and textile design. The design revolves around the theme "Warp and Weft, Light and Shadow, Teaching and Learning, People and Space," which highlights the interplay of light, space, collaboration, and artistic expression.
The studio features a long, irregular floor plan that transforms the corridor into an engaging journey of exploration, with various points of attraction to inspire creativity. The "Warp and Weft" concept symbolises the essence of weaving, while a dedicated feature wall harnesses sunlight to cast abstract shadows, enhancing the corridor’s artistic appeal.

To support both individual and group work, the studio incorporates modular, adaptable furniture, including the innovative Fashion Design Student Working Hub, which maximises functionality and minimises clutter. At the centre of the Studio, a multi-functional space accommodates events, seminars, and fashion master classes, with flexible lighting designed to adapt to diverse activities.
