Leice Successfully Delivered a Doppler Wind Lidar to Prof. Yi-Qing Ni’s team, which Boosts the TRS Project

In December 2023, Qingdao Leice Transient Technology Co., Ltd. successfully delivered a Boundary Layer Wind Profile Lidar WindMast PBL to Prof. Yi-Qing Ni’s team (TRS project team). The Boundary Layer Wind Profile Lidar provides high-quality data for Hong Kong's urban safety and meteorological observation and forecasting during typhoons, with its technological advantages of high spatio-temporal resolution, high accuracy, unmanned operation, and flexible deployment. It will also provide valuable data support for cutting-edge scientific research.

 

The TRS project team will focus on the following tasks:

1.Ambient wind field and dynamics analysis for urban area based on a single Boundary Layer Wind Profile Lidar WindMast PBL;

2.Wind field measurement and dynamic parameter characteristic analysis of atmospheric boundary layer under strong wind conditions;

3.Ambient wind field measurement by observation network in urban area based on five Boundary Layer Wind Profile Lidar WindMast PBL.




In this delivery task, the Leice team completed the installation and technical support of the equipment, and conducted data comparison analysis and relevant training. In the future, Leice will further provide new technologies and ideas for Prof. Ni team's innovative research in various fields such as building wind engineering, bridge and road safety monitoring, meteorological observation, and climate prediction, to improving Hong Kong's meteorological safety guarantee capabilities.
