A meeting between TRS team members and NVIDIA Hong Kong Ltd.

On October 25, 2024, from 10:15 am to 12:00 pm, the TRS project team and NVIDIA Hong Kong Ltd. held a meeting at ZS970, primarily discussing strengthening the collaboration between NVIDIA AI Center and the TRS project team. 

First, both sides introduced their respective team members. Dr. Samuel Lo from NVIDIA presented the objectives of establishing the AI Center and the potential for collaboration. Prof. Yi-Qing Ni introduced the TRS project and its cooperation potential with NVIDIA.

Then, professors and researchers from the TRS project team provided updates on various topics, including multi-scale modeling and downscaling, the damage mechanism of glass curtain walls under tropical storms, and the LiDAR system and urban building evolution.

Following that, Mr. Cliff Ho from NVIDIA gave a detailed introduction to AI and its 3D industrial applications, including the use of the Omniverse platform in digital twin technology, and discussed how to integrate AI models through Omniverse for 3D workflows and synthetic data generation.

Finally, both parties conducted an in-depth discussion on future cooperation possibilities, covering TRS projects, urban climate resilience, AI computing, and technological prospects such as CFD, as well as the application of the Omniverse platform and tools.
