TRS Project Team Conducted a Site Inspection at Shenzhen Galaxy Twin Towers

On December 13, 2024, members of the TRS project team from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, including Dr. E. Deng, Dr. Yue Dong, Ms. Ling-Yi Diao, Mr. Hang Du, Mr. Ao Zheng, Mr. Min Deng, Mr. De-Hui Ouyang, and Mr. Guang Zhou, conducted an on-site inspection with Mr. Jian Yang, Industry Department Manager of Galaxy Industry Group. The inspection concerned the deployment of a typhoon operational health monitoring system for the Galaxy Twin Towers, which are the tallest twin towers in China with a height of 356 m.

The installation arrangement for wind speed monitoring systems, wind pressure monitoring systems, acceleration and tilt monitoring systems, and displacement monitoring systems on the rooftop and refuge floors of the Galaxy Twin Towers was determined after fully discussion between TRS project team members and Mr. Yang during the inspection.

Regarding wind environment monitoring and building response monitoring, Mr. Yang highly praised the professionalism of the TRS project team in equipment selection and installation layout. He expressed strong willingness to collaborate with the TRS project team and pledged full support, promising to accommodate the project team’s requirements during the installation of monitoring equipment as much as possible.
