Dr Ma obtained his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Mathematics from Tsinghua University and PhD degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
His research interests include the intersection of machine learning, data mining, and transportation network modelling, with applications for smart and sustainable mobility systems.
