Congratulations to Dr Tak-Ming Chan, Programme Leader of the Master of Science (MSc) in Civil Engineering, whose supervised MSc project entitled "Development of Earthquake Resistant Design Guidelines for Inter-module Connections of Modular Buildings" has been awarded an MSc grant for 2022/23 by the Institution of Structural Engineers.
The Institution of Structural Engineers is the world’s largest membership organization dedicated to structural engineering. The annual MSc research grants by the Institution's Research Fund support postgraduate research project carried out as part of a full time or part-time Master of Science degree programme. Focal topics include Institutions' industry focused research themes and the applications were assessed based on: likelihood of scope of further research, extent of innovation, relation to a practical problem and feasibility.
