Publication in Nature Sustainability

Dr Peng Wang’s research on “Photovoltaic panel cooling by atmospheric water sorption–evaporation cycle” was published in Nature Sustainability. An accompanying blog post was also published in Nature Sustainability Community.   This new technology contributing to global sustainability was highlighted by Science Magazine. Best Young Researcher

Our PhD graduate, Miss Sun Yuqing, was awarded the Best Young Researcher in the 8th International Conference on Bioprocessing with her project “Bridging Sustainability and Industrial Evolution through Green Bioprocessing”. Miss Sun was supervised by Dr Dan Tsang, Associate Professor of CEE.

Battling the invisible, silent killer in bad air

Interviewed by China Daily (HK Section), Prof. Wang Tao, Chair Professor of CEE, shared his views on ozone pollution in the Pearl River Delta region.  His team has established an air monitoring station at Cape D’Aguilar on the southeastern tip of Hong Kong Island to monitor cross-boundary ozone for years. Student Award OSH Best Project Award

Mr LI Shing-fung, Ronald (BSc, EOSH student), was awarded the OSH Best Project Award presented by the “Occupational Safety and Health Council” on his final year project titled “Investigation and Assessment of Heat Hazard in Hong Kong Slope Maintenance Construction Works” on 15 January 2020. Mr Li’s final year project was supervised by Dr Tony Sze (Assistant Professor, CEE).
