I am most honoured to receive Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) Graduate School Outstanding Research Postgraduate Young Alumni Award 2024. I really appreciate the recognition from PolyU, the Graduate School and the award selection committee for awarding me such an honour. I also would like to express sincere thanks to my PhD supervisor Prof. S.S. Law for his supervision and mentoring, and to many CEE renowned faculty members and scholars, including but not limited to, Prof. Youlin Xu, Prof. Yi-Qing Ni, Prof. Yong Xia and Prof. Songye Zhu, etc., for their advice and support during my PhD study and subsequent career adventure.
PolyU has been a world-class university with many world-leading disciplines, such as civil and structural engineering, that brings outstanding impact, extremely excellent research and education to the world. I enjoyed my study journey at PolyU very much and am very proud of being a PolyU PhD graduate. PolyU and CEE has provided me with solid research training in my PhD study by its high-quality and supportive research environment. I consider this is a truly important and significant recognition to me from my respected alma mater. I shall continue to further develop collaborations with PolyU, engage with alumni community, and try my best to contribute to PolyU’s development and alumni activities.
