(27 April 2022) Mr ZHONG Jichang, Director-General of the Department of Liaison with Public Organizations, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; Mr Alex YEUNG, Executive Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong United Youth Association (HKUYA); Mr Dave HO, Vice Chairman of the HKUYA; Mr Stephen CHUA, Vice Chairman of the HKUYA; Prof. Ben YOUNG, Vice President (Student and Global Affairs) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU); and Prof. Albert CHAN, Dean of Students of PolyU, joined volunteers at PolyU’s campus to distribute COVID-19 supplies from the Central Government and other donors to PolyU students and young staff.

Prof. Young expressed PolyU’s gratitude towards the efforts of the Liaison Office, the Youth Anti-Coronavirus Link and participating organizations. He said, “The easing of the fifth wave of COVID-19 in Hong Kong and the gradual resumption of normal classes and campus activities result from the support of the Central Government and Mainland compatriots, as well as the concerted efforts by the HKSAR Government and people across the community. PolyU’s students and staff remain committed to supporting the fight against COVID-19 with their professional expertise and research capability.”
