In May 2006, PolyU is designated by the Science and Education Department of Chinese Olympic Committee as a collaborative research partner for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and our experts from the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences will help prepare athletes for the Beijing Olympic Games.

備戰二零零八年奧運會科技合作伙伴
2006年5月10日，理大與中國奧委會科教部簽署科技合作協議。按協議安排，中國奧委會科教部將授予理大「中國奧委會備戰二零零八年奧運會科技合作夥伴」的稱號。而理大將派出醫療及社會科學院和其他相關學院的跨學科專家，協助國家奧委會為選手備戰北京奧運而安排的培訓、科研和醫療康復等工作。
