Alumni revel in homecoming carnival PolyU sets up first overseas association in Europe PolyU hosts International Symposium of Intimate Apparel Staff and students joint performance PolyU sets up Independent Review Panel
| More than 3,000 PolyU alumni, staff, students and their families took part in the “PolyU Alumni Homecoming Carnival 2010”on 14 March. The biennial event was jointly staged by PolyU and the Federation of PolyU Alumni Associations, with the aim of cultivating close links between the University and its graduates by bringing them back to campus for a fun-filled Sunday. This year, in addition to the "Federation Cup Soccer Tournament" and "PolyU Alumni 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament", participants also enjoyed a wide range of exciting programmes, including magic show, artistic cycling performance, pop band singing, horse riding, lucky draw and stall games. A number of sports facilities were also opened for use for free. Participants could tour around PolyU's facilities, including House of Innovation, C Y Tung International Centre for Maritime Studies and Multimedia Innovation Centre. Participant could also take a bus tour to visit PolyU's Student Halls of Residence, Hong Kong Community College Hung Hom Bay Campus, The Phase 8 Development and Innovation Tower.
