Prof. Michael Sherraden, Chair Professor of Social Policy Administration and Social Development under PolyU’s Distinguished Scholar Scheme and Professor of Social Development at Washington University in St. Louis, has been named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World 2010. Prof. Sherraden’s work has received world-wide recognition for its impact on public policy. He is the creator of the widely-praised Individual Development Accounts (IDAs), a programme designed to help poor working people save money and accumulate assets.
