PolyU successfully hosted the second meeting of the World Cities, World Class (WC2) University Network in Hong Kong on 14-15 March. Representatives from eight countries in four continents, covering Asia, Europe, North America and South America, joined the meeting held on the university campus.

WC2 is a network of institutions from world cities that share common interests in important global issues including: business; cultural and creative industries; urban environment and global health/ sustainability; and transport. Representatives from the member institutions come together with a view to steering the way forward through exchange of expertise and sharing of best practices related to the issues.

Prof. Dinos Arcoumanis, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and International) of City University London, initiated the Network in 2010 and invited PolyU to join as one of the founding members.
