In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Faculty of Engineering of the Chinese University of Hong Kong organized a Distinguished Lecture on 16 September. Upon the invitation of the Faculty, PolyU President Prof. Timothy W. Tong gave a presentation on “World Energy Demand”.

Prof. Tong also officiated at the 2011 International Leadership Summit on Mechanical/Multi-Disciplinary Education held from 27 to 29 September. About eighty heads of mechanical/multi-disciplinary engineering departments, engineering faculty deans and academics from the US, Europe, Asia, Asia-Pacific and Chinese mainland attended the event.
