PolyU will confer the honorary title of University Fellow on six outstanding individuals in recognition of their significant contributions to the University and the community on 5 January 2012. They are (in alphabetical order of last name):

• Dr Aron Harilela, Director of Harilela Hotels Ltd
• Dr Simon Kwok Siu Ming, BBS, JP, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sa Sa International Holdings Limited
• Miss Cally Kwong Mei Wan, Managing Director of Cally K Jewellery Limited
• Mr Edwin Leong Siu Hung, , Executive Chairman and Founder of Tai Hung Fai Enterprise Company Limited
• Ir Mak Chai Kwong,GBS, JP, Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Civil and Structural Engineering of PolyU, and former Permanent Secretary for Development (Works)
• Mr So Chung Ping, Chairman of the Executive Committee of The Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association
