Double honour for PolyU scholar

PolyU students design for the future Mandarin Oriental

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, joined hands with PolyU to organize the “Hotel of the Future” competition. Some 40 students from the Environment and Interior Design discipline formed teams to design certain areas of the hotel with the theme “the next 50 years”.

With the concept of “Spreadism”, the team of Lee Kwok-kwong and Mak Chu-leung won the competition by elegantly incorporating the history of Hong Kong and the design elements of this iconic hotel in their design.
