Sponsored by the Lo Ying Shek Chi Wai Foundation, Prof. Cynthia Leung of PolyU’s Department of Applied Social Sciences and Dr Sandra Tsang of HKU’s Department of Social Work and Social Administration jointly conducted a study entitled “The efficacy of the HOPE-20 programme for parents of 2-year-old children”. The study found that, upon completion of the programme by parents, their children had significant improvement in mastering preschool concepts and language skills and less behaviour problems. Also, the stress level of parents was lowered while their sense of competence was enhanced. Details>>
