The year 2002 not only marks the 65th Anniversary
of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, but also the 25th Anniversary
of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences. The Faculty was evolved
from the former Institute of Medical and Health Care established
in 1977. Over the past couple of decades, we have been contributing
to the development of social and health services of Hong Kong by
producing competent and caring professionals to serve the community
and support professional development. The Faculty Open House aims
to provide a focal point for the community, in concert with the
Faculty's students and alumni and their families, as well as the
professional communities, to commemorate our developments and achievements
and share in our dedication in contributing to a better, caring
society.
