Jockey Club Innovation Tower, PolyU's iconic landmark on campus, recently won the "Commendation Merit" in the Structural Excellence Award 2014 (category of Hong Kong projects) organized by the Joint Structural Division of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers, UK. The award recognizes outstanding structural design in architectures and infrastructures based on their performance in engineering approach, integration, innovation, build-ability, sustainability and unique features.

Masterminded by the world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid, the Tower is seamlessly built with careful blending of landscape, floor plates and louvers, drawing in natural daylight and fresh air.
