Recently, PolyU's Department of Computing jointly organized the inaugural computer app programming competition "CAP2014" with IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Hong Kong Section Computer Society Chapter and Hong Kong Association for Computer Education.

With the aim of enhancing students' interests in programming and coding, the competition has brought together students and teachers from universities and secondary schools to learn how to use MIT App Inventor to develop mobile apps and solve app programming problems. The event saw enthusiastic participation with 300 mobile apps/projects received from secondary schools and over 40 teams competing for the gold, silver and bronze awards. Details>>
