Earlier on, the Institute of Textiles and Clothing partnered with Vitality Place of the Society of Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention, Hong Kong, for the third year in organizing the project "Service Learning for Engaging Fashion as Rehabilitation Therapy". Under the project, students from different departments assisted ex-mentally ill persons in expressing their dreams through designing and making their own clothes for a fashion show. During the process, students communicated closely with the ex-mentally ill persons so as to understand their needs before designing clothes for them. The experiences gained in serving others would facilitate students to learn to build good interpersonal relationship.
