This summer, PolyU organized a series of culture-discovering, subject-learning and university-life-experiencing programmes for students of local secondary schools and international students.

In particular, the Faculty of Humanities collaborated with Xi'an Jiaotong University to offer a three-week "Silk Road International Summer School" for international students to deepen their understanding of the Chinese culture through experiential learning in two exciting cities — Hong Kong and Xi'an.

Also, over 800 local secondary school students experienced a taste of university life at PolyU. They have the opportunity in learning a wide range of subjects, including computing, engineering, applied mathematics, fashion and textiles, science applications, applied physics, English public speaking and debating, creative writing, as well as leadership and entrepreneurship.
