On 27 September, a new building situated in the Xi'an Jiaotong University - The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Collaboration Base was opened. The opening ceremony was officiated by President of Xi'an Jiaotong University Prof. Wang Shuguo and PolyU President Prof. Timothy W. Tong. The new building will provide more facilities for advancing the collaboration between both universities through joint academic programmes and research, contributing to the economic development in the western region.
