A student team from PolyU's Institute of Textiles and Clothing scooped the second prize of the "Future Retail Challenge" during the World Retail Congress 2014 held in Paris, France. Competing with counterparts from New York, London, Tokyo and Marche in Italy, the team created a new concept for Samsung Life Store.

Sponsored by Li & Fung Limited and supervised by Dr Chris Lo, Dr Ho Chu-po and Ms Paulene Hsia, the team constructed innovative ideas on the roles and service delivery of a store selling branded appliances, based on millennial consumers' needs and connection of internet of things to home to convergence products and changing lifestyles.
