Earlier on, PolyU proposed the construction of a Green Deck over the Cross Harbour Tunnel plaza to provide recreational, cultural and sports facilities while solving air quality, overloaded footbridge and connectivity problems in the vicinity.

Recently, the University is staging an exhibition titled “Green Deck as an Innovative Social Project” and forums to share with public the ideas behind this initiative. Running until end-February, the exhibition not only explains the potential benefits of the project to the community and displays the related research findings of faculty members, but also gathers stakeholders to exchange views on sustainable development.
