Recently, the “Youreable Fashion Design” scheme organized by Troels H. Povlsen Care Apparel Centre of PolyU’s Institute of Textiles and Clothing has attracted over 350 entries. Elderly and disabled people teamed up with over 100 PolyU students to design creative fashion for their loved ones.
In the award presentation ceremony, a catwalk show was staged featuring the participants and their loved ones dressed in the winning outfits. The event not only provided the elderly and disabled people with the opportunity to unleash their design flair with students’ assistance, but also fosters community care and social inclusion.
