Dr Henry Chan, Associate Professor at PolyU’s Department of Computing, was honoured with the Computer Science and Engineering Undergraduate Teaching Award 2015 by the IEEE Computer Society for his outstanding contributions to computing education through teaching, mentoring students, and service to the education community.
Dr Chan is dedicated to nurturing students and he won the President’s Award in 2010/11 for his teaching excellence. Under his guidance, his students bagged more than 30 awards over the years. He has a wealth of research experiences in the areas of networking/communications, cloud computing, internet technologies and electronic commerce. His research team won a silver medal at the 38th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva with the invention of the Flexible RFID Encoder and Decoder software tool.
