On 8 January, some 200 guests gathered at the Faculty of Construction and Environment Alumni Associations’ Ball to show their support in the Faculty’s development. The event was graced by honourable guests, including Mr Chan Tze-ching, Chairman of PolyU Council; the Honourable Lam Woon-kwong, Convenor of the Executive Council of the HKSAR Government; Ir Eric Ma, Under Secretary for Development of the Development Bureau; Ir Dr Lo Wai-kwok, Member of the Legislative Council; Ms Marjorie Yang, immediate past Chairman of PolyU Council; Ir Prof. Johnny Fan, Co-chairman of the Organizing Committee and President of PolyU Building Association; and Presidents of the five alumni associations of the Faculty.
On the same occasion, the Faculty expressed sincere appreciation to Ms Marjorie Yang for her significant contributions to the University while serving as Council Chairman in 2010-2015 and to Ir Prof. Johnny Fan for his dedicated service as President of the Federation of PolyU Alumni Associations in 2011-2015.
