The University proudly presents the world-renowned master of contemporary ink painting Mr Wucius Wong as its Artist-in-Residence for this year. Mr Wong’s paintings not only demonstrate a perfect integration of traditional elements of Chinese ink painting and western contemporary design concepts, but also express the passion for literature.
The Artist-in-Residence programme was kicked off with an exhibition titled “Ink innovations and crossovers: Retrospective exhibition of paintings by Wucius Wong” which showcased 32 art pieces spanning from 1965 to 2015. In addition, Mr Wong conducted the “Meet-the-Artist session: Wucius Wong on his journey in ink painting” open seminar and talked about his four principal artistic directions.
