Led by Prof. Wallace Leung, Chair Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the American Filtration and Separations Society was selected the host of the 13th World Filtration Congress (WFC) to be held in San Diego in April 2020. Prof. Leung was appointed Chairman of the Congress.
Prof. Leung will also serve as Chairman of the International Delegation on Filtration (INDEFI) for a four-year term. INDEFI is a consortium of the filtration societies in 12 member countries to promote separation and filtration globally and run the WFC. In future, Prof. Leung will focus on mobilising academia, industry and governments to address the global issues; producing clean air and water and green energy; handling waste; and minimising waste through separation and filtration.
