Congratulations to students and graduates at the School of Design on winning top prizes at various contests with their creative products.
Student Eva Leung Ka-wai and her teammates won a silver prize at the Yilan Chair Design Competition. The winning design titled “Love Puff” is a multi-functional kid’s furniture which can be used as a riding toy, a stool and a storage space. She got the inspiration when working as an intern in Taiwan this summer.
Also, fresh graduates Lee Jun Seng and Ranger Hui were selected as national runners up in the 2016 James Dyson Award with their projects Pyron and Aquila. As an international student design competition open to 22 countries worldwide, the Award is to recognise products or concepts that have significant, practical and commercially-viable purposes.
